Solar power system consists of solar PV panel, solar controller, battery (group). If the output power to 220V AC or 110V AC, also need to configure the inverter. The system components as: Solar panelsSolar panels is the core part of the solar system, which is the highest value. It converts the sun's radiation to electrical energy, which has been sent or stored in batteries, or to drive the work load. Solar controllerThe role of solar power controller is to control the entire system. It played a battery charge protection and over-discharge protection. In the great temperature difference conditions, the controller should have qualified temperature compensation. Other additional features as photo-controlled switch, timer controller are optional. BatteryLead-acid batteries have been used widely. Ni-Mh, Ni-Cd and Li-ion batteries are also used in small system. The batteries stored the energy which produced by solar panel. The stored energy will be released when need. InverterRaw solar energy output is generally 12VDC, 24VDC, 48VDC. In order to provide electrical power as 220VAC, solar power system will need to converted the DC power to AC power, which requiring the use of DC-AC inverter module.
